Aug. 4  Geneva, festival on the lake

 Breakfast at the hotel.  Yep, that's it--a croissant and hot drink.

 But we have a lovely breakfast spot outside.

 And friends who join us for the meal, perched on the back of every chair.

 One silly juvenile hops inside the hotel and can't get out; Mary rescues it and returns it to its hovering daddy sparrow.

After weeks of hiking, we can't stop looking for direction signs.  We follow this one to a room we hope never to have to use.

At the mall, we cruise the toy store.  

 I'm traveling with shoppers!  And then we take the bus to the lakeside festival.

 Kid-fun area.

 Time to eat.  We gamble on the Thai place.

 The pad thai--not good, we find after a couple bites. Way overcooked.
