Bangkok Day 1 and 2

We arrive 5 hours later than scheduled in Bangkok--late plane from Manila. But Keith meets us as planned and we take the 30 min. taxi ride to Keith and Pan's home.

Later we go over to the mall, Centro, for dinner and yogurt.
You can see what part of the meal is Angela's favorite:
Sunday, we go to a historic area, Wat Yai Chaya Mongkol, in Ayudhaya, about an hour from Bangkok.  It's amazing!  It's hot and humid but umbrellas and water and the scene keep us energized.
Reclining Buddha, with Deb, Pan and Angela

Angela
Deb eating sai mai--green tortilla-like shell filled with spun brown sugar twine.
The ride home includes stops at roadside stands for sai mai, in picture, and fruit called 'look than' which is a stiff jello-y white orb encased in a brownish-maroon-colored shell.  Bland taste but love the texture.

And then we buy dinner at the street market in Keith and Pan's neighborhood.
